Shirley Tae Kwon-Do Club is part of the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain (The TAGB). It is Britain’s Largest Tae Kwon-Do Association with over 25,000 members in over 450 clubs throughout the country. Shirley Tae Kwon-Do Club was formed in February 1997 by former World Champion and International Instructor Steve Merricks. The club runs 3 weekly classes on Sundays & Wednesdays for Beginners, Intermediates & Seniors along with it’s TAGB Tiger sessions on Sundays. Shirley Tae Kwon-Do Club actively participates in local & National Competitions of which some students hold national titles and locally in Interclub events upon which all entry money is donated to local charities. With membership around 90 active students, the club holds regular Demonstration Nights highlighting the different aspects of training and the benefits of Tae Kwon-Do aswell as regular gradings throughout the year.
